Shadow Systems MR920 FAQ Elite threaded barrel pistol

Shadow Systems MR920 FAQ: Models and Features

What is the Shadow Systems MR920?

The MR920 is a compact, striker-fired 9mm pistol from Shadow Systems. It is roughly the size of a Glock 19 and works with Glock 19 magazines, but it ships with upgrades like an optic-ready slide, a match-grade barrel, a flat-face trigger and an aggressive grip texture.

What is the difference between the MR920 Elite and the MR920 Foundation?

The Foundation is the simpler, more affordable version with a clean optic-ready slide. The Elite adds the signature windowed slide cuts, upgraded barrel finishes such as bronze, TiCN or DLC, and extra slide serrations. Both use the same frame and both run well.

Does the Shadow Systems MR920 use Glock magazines?

Yes. The MR920 accepts standard Glock 19 pattern magazines, as well as Glock 17 and 33-round magazines that extend past the grip. That makes spare magazines easy to find and affordable.

Holsters, Optics and Accessories

Will Glock 19 holsters fit the MR920?

Many Glock 19 holsters fit, but the MR920 slide profile and some barrel options can change the fit. For the best result, look for holsters made specifically for the Shadow Systems MR920, especially if you are carrying a red dot or a threaded barrel.

Which red dots fit the MR920 slide?

Shadow Systems slides use an optic cut that accepts popular RMR-footprint optics, including the Holosun 507c and Trijicon RMR. Several of our pistols, like the MR920 Elite with Holosun 507c, arrive with the optic already installed.

See every pistol that ships with an optic in our MR920 red dot packages. Holosun publishes full specs for the 507c on its official website.

MR920L and MR920P Explained

What is the MR920L?

The MR920L pairs the compact MR920 frame with a longer slide and barrel. The extra length gives you a longer sight radius and a bit less muzzle flip while keeping the shorter grip that is easier to conceal.

What does MR920P mean?

The MR920P models use ported or compensated barrels that vent gas upward to reduce muzzle rise. Shooters who want faster follow-up shots and a flatter-shooting carry gun often choose the P versions.

Ordering, Compliance and Deals

How do I buy a pistol online?

Add the pistol to your cart, complete checkout and choose a licensed FFL dealer near you. We ship to that dealer, and you finish the background check and paperwork at their counter before taking the pistol home.

Do you sell California or Massachusetts compliant MR920 pistols?

Yes. Our CA and MA compliant collection includes 10-round MR920 models built to meet those state rules. Always double-check your local laws before ordering.

What do demo, B-stock and blemished mean?

Demo and floor samples were used for display or limited range use. B-stock and blemished pistols have small cosmetic marks but work exactly as intended. They are a great way to save money on a Shadow Systems pistol.
